Variational aspects, interplay of Eulerian and Lagrangian viewpoints, relaxed solutions
Calculus of Variations
(Vertical) relaxation methods, generalised solutions, Cartesian currents, Young-measures, minimizing movements and related methods
Partial differential equations
Topological invariants, topological solitons, bubbling phenomena, gradient flows and other evolution equations
Geometric measure theory
Currents on manifolds, transport of currents, generalised surfaces, applications to variational problems, differential geometric aspects
