City of Třešť is located about 150 km from Prague and can be reached by a car in less than two hours. For driving directions from Prague (or any other city) we recommend this map.
The nearest big city is Jihlava, about 20km north from Třešť, with a regular bus connection to and from Prague and a frequent bus and train connection with Třešť. A comprehensive connection schedule can be found here. We suggest the following bus connections (roughly 110-150 CZK):
Praha | ÚAN Florenc 11:45 (bus stand 19, direction Jemnice) |
Třešť | 13:37 |
or | |
Praha | ÚAN Florenc 16:35 (bus stand 15, direction Telc) |
Třešť | 18:53 |
or | |
Praha | ÚAN Florenc 16:00 (bus stand 19, direction Dacice) |
Třešť | 18:58 |
For buses leaving Prague, we advice to purchase a ticket with seat reservation at least couple hours in advance, if possible. They are sold at the Florenc bus station.
Railway fans (or those who don't squeeze into a bus :-) ) may consider the following connection (230 CZK):
Praha hlavni nadrazi | 15:53 (direction Brno) |
Havlickuv Brod | 17:59 / 18.05 (direction Horni Cerekev) |
Kostelec u Jihlavy | 18:57 / 19:05 (direction Slavonice) |
Třešť | 19:17 |
To reach the bus or train station from the airport, buy a 26 CZK ticket for public transportation (valid for 60 minutes, to be stamped at the entrance to the bus), take a bus nr. 100 or 119 to any of the subway stations and take the subway to the station Florenc (bus station) or Hlavni nadrazi (train station). The trip shouldn't take more than one hour.
