Finite Element Method

I am interested in mathematical modeling of a continuum dynamics.The main part of my research is based on the Finite Element Method. This method is designed to discretize partial differential equations, which can be used to obtain a numerical approximation of the solution.

Fluid-Structure Interaction

Fluid-structure interaction is a complex phenomenon with many challenging tasks. Results are crucial in many scientific fields such as hemodynamics, geophysics, and aerodynamics.

Non-standard Interface Conditions

Interaction between two materials is not well described. Roughness, lubrication, porosity, all these properties on the material transition can cause significant changes in the system's dynamics. I am working on a description of a slip between two nonrigid materials. See the Turek-Hron benchmark with Navier-Slip conditions bellow.

A Rebound of an Elastic Material

I am participating in grant ERC-CZ Grant LL2105 CONTACT. The project is solving the rebound of an elastic material contained in a liquid. The numerical solutions support the analytical results that there is no contact if no-slip conditions are used.
